Chapter 61 – The Inferior Omega is Forcibly Loved by the Superior Alpha 12
“How can you have so little self-respect… Xiao Yu! Do you know how serious a gland issue is? If you were an omega, this would be a disaster!”
“You can’t just let yourself go because no one is raising you. How are we supposed to face my aunt, who’s lying in a hospital bed in a vegetative state, if you act like this…”
Ji Mian’s eyes filled with tears as he accused him with a look of disappointment.
To avoid suspicion, Wei Yichen didn’t look, but the faint trace of romantic feeling he’d had earlier completely vanished.
Filthy. So filthy.
He had no idea how many people Shuang Yu had messed around with.
How could he ever compare this worn-out rag to his Mianmian!
“Ji Shuangyu, you really are cheap.”
Wei Yichen’s expression was icy as he spoke mockingly.
Shuang Yu was so angry he almost laughed.
“What, it’s perfectly fine for you two dog men to sleep together, but it’s cheap when I do it with someone else? I don’t think there’s any law that says a beta can’t have relations with others, is there? The law can’t even control me, so what gives you two hypocritical moral guardians the right to stand on your high horse and criticize me? Wei Yichen, what business is it of yours whether I’m cheap or not? Did I confess my love to you? Am I clinging to you? Where do you get the confidence to think I have such a crush on you that I can’t live without you? And you, Ji Mian, don’t talk as if your family has any right to face my father right now. You know damn well how your family has treated me. You’re acting so high and mighty—aren’t you afraid my father will turn into a Vicious Ghost and come dance disco at your bedside at night?”
His expression darkened as he stood up and kicked over the half-cleaned mess. His sharp gaze swept over the two of them, a verbal slap across their faces.
“If you have no feelings for me, why would you use an inducer on me? Why would you just so happen to appear in that hotel room?”
Wei Yichen, his pride wounded, demanded coldly.
“Just because I happened to be in that room, you assume I did everything? Viscount Wei, you’re quite judgmental. A brain is a useful thing, but it’s a pity… you don’t seem to have one. What rotten luck, a couple of fucking idiots.”
Shuang Yu rolled his eyes and cursed before turning to go back to his room.
“You… how could you curse at people, Xiao Yu…”
Ji Mian’s eyes widened in disbelief.
“Fucking idiot.”
Shuang Yu gave him a mischievous grin, flipped him the middle finger, and went back to his room.
Bang!
The door slammed shut, leaving Wei Yichen and Ji Mian so stunned they couldn’t recover for a long moment.
It was only then that they belatedly realized that when the little stutterer cursed, his mouth was sharper than anyone’s!
“That’s… that’s too much… I worked so hard to cook for him, and not only is he ungrateful, but he also curses at me!”
Ji Mian trembled with anger, his eyes red as he made his accusation.
Wei Yichen, however, wore a thoughtful expression.
He was bothered by what Ji Shuangyu had said. He had indeed jumped to conclusions, assuming that because he saw Ji Shuangyu in the room, he must have been the one who drugged him.
But what if… he wasn’t?
A sudden tremor went through Wei Yichen’s heart. His pride wouldn’t allow him to bow his head to Ji Shuangyu, so he could only force himself not to think about it. It was a mentality bordering on escapism.
“Forget it. Don’t mind him. Let’s eat, Mianmian.”
Wei Yichen pulled Ji Mian into his arms, a troubled look on his face.
“I wouldn’t complain if he treated me like this normally, since his life has been so tragic. But he has no right, no reason to treat you this way…”
Ji Mian sobbed with anger, every word a defense of Wei Yichen.
“Alright, alright, don’t be angry. Be good. It’s not worth getting upset over someone like him. I’ll never give him a second thought. All his provocations are just the antics of a clown. Come on, let’s eat.”
“I can’t eat. I’m already full from being so angry…”
“Then let’s go out. Didn’t you want to try the ice cream at Feierman Restaurant?”
Wei Yichen coaxed Ji Mian, and they left the apartment.
Ji Mian’s anxiously suspended heart finally settled. As he thought, preventing the two from being in the same space was the right choice. He didn’t know what had gotten into that bastard Ji Shuangyu to make his personality so difficult, but it didn’t matter. The more arrogant he was, the more Wei Yichen would despise him. The more they were at odds, the more it benefited him!
Next, all he had to do was spread Ji Shuangyu’s videos and nudes to get him kicked out of school for good!
The gears in Ji Mian’s mind were turning furiously as he already began plotting his next move.
After Wei Yichen left, he didn’t return for three whole days. Without having to deal with the two idiots, Shuang Yu was happy to have the peace and quiet. For three days, he attended classes discreetly during the day and holed up in his room writing code when he was free.
He had originally planned to quit his job at the nightclub, but as the club’s star attraction, the owner begged him to stay. To keep him, the owner not only increased his commission but also promised he wouldn’t have to come in every day; he just needed to show up occasionally to draw a crowd.
The original host’s father’s company was an electronics enterprise, so he had enrolled in the electronic computer programming department for university. Although he ended up at a third-rate diploma mill, he hadn’t given up on himself and had been diligently self-studying. His talent, combined with his hard work, had allowed him to make significant progress in just one year.
In his past life, due to Ji Weiheng’s interference, the original host was unable to accomplish anything and was forced to become a plaything until he died of illness. Although becoming an outstanding entrepreneur wasn’t among his wishes, Shuang Yu wanted to help him achieve it anyway.
He compared the worlds he had experienced before with this one and found that there was indeed a niche for him to fill. This world was more technologically advanced in many aspects than the worlds he had touched as a Ghost Messenger, with even artificial intelligence robots being commonplace, yet it lacked certain convenient apps. In that other world, almost everyone used their phones to pay, but in this world, people still used paper money. Services like food delivery apps and ride-hailing were nonexistent, making life less convenient.
Shuang Yu planned to first create a basic version of one of these software applications and then find a sponsor to invest in it. With Xiao Ai’s help, creating the software wouldn’t be difficult. The real challenge was finding someone willing to invest who wasn’t afraid of the Ji and Wei families’ power. This was the Wei family’s fiefdom, so avoiding them was impossible. Therefore, Shuang Yu planned to take some time off and try his luck in other cities once the software was ready.
Software couldn’t be completed overnight, and Zuo Fei’s condition was not optimistic, requiring a large sum for maintenance every day. It could be said that Shuang Yu’s most important source of income right now was the nightclub. After weighing his options, he decided to work part-time there one or two days a week on weekends, focusing his main energy on his studies and the software. He couldn’t waste his time on small, immediate gains. Graduating from Yuesi University and developing the software—that would be true success!
On the morning of the fourth day, he received a call from the vice-principal, asking him to be one of the school representatives to welcome some transfer students and give them a campus tour.
Shuang Yu found it bizarre. He had only been here for a few days and hadn’t even figured out all the campus areas himself. How was he supposed to give anyone a tour?
“We know this is difficult for you, but the other party has an unusual status. The incident with the identity swap has been causing quite a stir recently, and they are very interested in you…”
The vice-principal sounded troubled.
“Alright, I’ll head over now.”
After hanging up, Shuang Yu was lost in thought.
