Chapter Index

After confirming their relationship, Shuang Yu finally began to live a comfortable life of nightly revelry. The younger “little wolfdog” boyfriend was really something else. The only problem was… his stamina was too good. An old man like him was having a hard time keeping up.

Normally, Jingmo was very obedient, both well-behaved and sweet. But once they were in bed, the guy transformed. It was a transition from one kind of torment to another, indescribable kind of torment. He couldn’t quite tell if he was lucky or unlucky.

After dinner, Jingmo held Shuang Yu on the sofa, chatting idly while watching a movie.

“Are you confident you can catch that person named Tian Yue?”

Shuang Yu swallowed the potato chip he had just placed in his mouth and asked.

“The investigators have already locked onto the target, but to capture him, I’ll probably have to go myself,” Jingmo said after a moment of thought.

“Be careful,” Shuang Yu said considerately, not saying much more.

For Jingmo to have to go personally, the opponent must be no pushover.

“Don’t worry, Yu. It wasn’t easy for me to finally be with you, so I definitely won’t die so easily. By the way, your sorcery is so powerful, why don’t you just remove the poison from your own body?” the latter asked, chuckling as he kissed the back of his neck.

The one-to-one customization… wasn’t something he could get rid of with his little spells. If he were that capable, he wouldn’t just be a minor Ghost Messenger… Shuang Yu didn’t know how to answer this question, so he simply changed the subject.

“Actually, from the night we met again, you’ve been doing some… not-safe-for-work things to me, haven’t you!”

He used a declarative statement, not a question.

    “Why does Yu think so?”

Jingmo raised an eyebrow, asking in a nonchalant tone.

“Are you playing me for a fool? You little brat, you’ve been scheming how to devour me ever since you got close to me, haven’t you!”

Shuang Yu gritted his teeth, turned around, and pinched his cheeks as he questioned him.

The latter grinned shamelessly, nodded, and pulled him into his arms by the waist.

“Yes, I’ve had designs on Yu for a long time… I know you like big pectoral muscles, so I’ve been working out desperately. The day we met again at the hotel, I intentionally didn’t wear a bathrobe and deliberately dropped my towel. I wanted to seduce Yu!”

One kiss after another landed on Shuang Yu’s body. That sexy voice swirled in his ear, and with his movements, the restlessness within him was ignited bit by bit. A direct, younger “little milk dog” was really… irresistible!

The two were living a sweet life together. The World Government’s investigation into Ai Jing had made significant progress. After confirming Tian Yue’s movements, Yin Ge called Jingmo again.

“We’ve found him. He’s in Tianning. The target is extremely vigilant, you’d better move out as soon as possible!”

“Got it. Send me the address. Keep a close eye on him, don’t let him escape.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll be watching him myself. I absolutely won’t let him get away!”

Hanging up the phone, Jingmo said goodbye to Shuang Yu and drove to the address Yin Ge had sent him. The old district of Tianning became very lively at night, with street vendors and pedestrians everywhere. In a sparsely populated alley, a man about 165 centimeters tall, but with a very burly build that gave off a ‘stay away’ vibe, walked out of a rental house wearing a baseball cap and a black mask.

By a utility pole, another man was smoking and talking on the phone. The burly man glanced at him, pulled his cap down lower, and quickly walked out of the alley.

“Attention, target has left the rental house and is heading towards Jihong Street!”

The man on the phone withdrew his gaze, finished his report, and left nonchalantly.

“Damn it, don’t tell me this kid has noticed something?” Yin Ge, who was monitoring from a disguised delivery vehicle, cursed under her breath.

She couldn’t wait for Jingmo to arrive; she had to make the arrest immediately. Fearing a change in the situation, she notified everyone to take action.

“Boss, a bowl of wontons, with beef,” Tian Yue said, sitting down at a wonton stall.

He warily observed his surroundings, clearly having sensed that something was amiss. There had been many new faces in the area recently… he suspected he was being watched. Just as he was thinking, a group of men and women in black suits, led by Yin Ge, quickly approached the wonton stall.

Tian Yue reacted swiftly, flipping the plastic table and bolting. “Fuck, after him!” Yin Ge cursed. The group engaged in a fierce chase through the bustling streets.

Tian Yue was very familiar with the nearby terrain. He first ran towards the most crowded area, then made a series of left and right turns, quickly disappearing into an alley. By the time Jingmo arrived, the man was already gone. Not only had he escaped, but he had also killed three agents along the way.

“Who told you to act first? I’ve never seen someone so eager to die!”

Jingmo’s face darkened as he knelt to examine the bodies of the three agents. There were no signs of a struggle; all three had their throats slit, indicating they were killed in a single blow. This Tian Yue was indeed skilled.

“I didn’t expect him to be so alert… What now!” Yin Ge asked, extremely annoyed and helpless.

“Arrest Ai Jing immediately. Any later, and he’ll probably run too!” Jingmo said decisively.

When they arrived at Ai Jing’s manor, they were still a step too late. The old fox had left ten minutes earlier! Having come up empty, Yin Ge was furious but could only return empty-handed.

The departed Ai Jing quickly got in touch with Tian Yue. They arranged a meeting place and soon rendezvoused. “Where is he!” he asked with a sinister expression as soon as he got out of the car.

    “In the trunk.”

Tian Yue smoked his cigarette, gestured with his chin towards the trunk, then stubbed out the cigarette and walked over to open it. Tied up in the trunk was none other than Gu Qiyan.

Tian Yue was truly Ai Jing’s most trusted subordinate. Not only were his skills top-notch, but he was also incredibly smart. The moment he sensed something was wrong, he immediately suspected that the betrayer was either Meng Ying or Gu Qiyan. The first thing he did after escaping the urban village was to kidnap Gu Qiyan!

“Damn it, I supported you like my own son, and you fucking dare to betray me?”

Ai Jing pulled out his pistol, ready to execute Gu Qiyan.

    “Mmph, mmmph…”

Gu Qiyan, with his mouth gagged, shook his head frantically, his eyes filled with terror.
