Chapter 173 – The White Moonlight Is Forcibly Loved by the Substitute (End)
Tianning.
The rain during the plum rain season was always incessant.
A funeral was being held in the cemetery.
A crowd dressed in black held umbrellas, wiped away tears, and stepped forward to offer flowers and bid a final farewell to the deceased.
“Damn it, I never should have trusted that Yandere Little Biscuit… He said he’d protect Brother Yu…”
Cheng Meng said hatefully, his eyes swollen from crying.
Tong Tong sobbed quietly, gently patting his hand. Together, they placed white chrysanthemums into the coffin, which held no body, only clothes.
This was a cenotaph, not for a single person, but for two.
Inside the coffin lay clothes once worn by Jingmo and Shuang Yu.
After everyone had taken their turn to offer flowers and say their final goodbyes, the coffin was closed and finally lowered into the ground.
In the distance, Shuang Yu and Jingmo stood hand in hand, watching the funeral.
He mused to himself that he never thought he’d see the day he would attend his own funeral!
“We’ve seen enough. Let’s go, Yu!”
Jingmo said nervously, afraid that he would have a change of heart.
Shuang Yu gave him a speechless look, then glanced at the crowd in the distance before finally nodding.
The two, holding an umbrella, quickly disappeared into the rain.
As Song Heng stepped forward to offer his flowers, he seemed to sense something and abruptly turned to look in the direction where the two had just been standing.
There was nothing there.
He frowned slightly, lost in thought.
“Song Heng?”
Shi Letian, seeing him stand motionless for a long time, called out softly.
“Mm.”
Song Heng returned to his senses and responded, placing his bouquet into the coffin.
After the funeral, the crowd gradually dispersed.
He led Cheng Meng and the others to find Yin Ge, who was dressed in a black suit.
Handing her a cigarette, he personally lit it for her.
“Thanks for your hard work.”
Yin Ge cooperatively bent her head.
Just as she took a drag, Song Heng suddenly said something shocking.
“They’re not dead, are they!”
“Cough, cough, cough…”
Yin Ge nearly choked on the smoke.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, Mr. Song.”
She cursed inwardly, thinking that he was truly an old fox; nothing could be hidden from him.
“You’re saying Brother Yu isn’t dead?!”
Cheng Meng’s eyes widened in disbelief.
“The good die young, but a scourge lasts a thousand years. Isn’t that what Jingmo himself said?”
Song Heng calmly lit his own cigarette, took a deep drag, and said with a humorless smile.
“Fuck, that damn Yandere Little Biscuit is really something else, making me waste so many tears for nothing!”
Cheng Meng, having figured it out, cursed loudly.
Her scalp tingling, Yin Ge backed away step by step, wanting to flee.
“Miss Yin, you must have suffered a lot at the hands of that Yandere Little Biscuit. Haven’t you ever thought about getting some proper revenge on him?”
Behind her, Song Heng’s calm voice sounded.
Yin Ge hesitated, then turned back.
“What are you planning?”
“Let the bullets… fly for a while?”
The latter gave a classic foxy smile and spoke calmly.
“A pleasure working with you, Mr. Song!”
Yin Ge, understanding instantly, laughed heartily and extended her hand to shake his.
*
A year later, on an island in P Country.
“Yu, Yu, don’t be angry anymore. Let’s go watch the sunset…”
A certain Yandere Little Biscuit rested his chin pitifully on the edge of the bed, his puppy ears drooping as he tried to coax the motionless Shuang Yu.
“Get lost.”
Shuang Yu answered irritably.
He had finally understood just how unreliable this black-hearted man was.
His so-called world tour was just changing locations, changing hotels, for day after day of lovemaking!
Damn it, he had been on this island for a whole week.
During this week, his range of activities had been severely limited.
It was confined to the bed, bathtub, swimming pool, floor-to-ceiling windows, sofa, kitchen, dining table…
He hadn’t been out of the house in a week, sleeping during the day and going wild at night!
This past year had been more exhausting than the times of bloody conflict.
His mind was relaxed, but his damn back was broken!
“I heard there’s a meteor shower tonight. We can watch the sunset first, then have a barbecue and beer on the beach. Later, we can watch the meteor shower. Let’s go, please, Yu? I promise I won’t lay a hand on you today… Mmm, hmm~~~”
The Yandere Little Biscuit did his utmost to act cute.
“Can’t walk!”
Shuang Yu replied testily.
His body felt like it was about to fall apart. Go where?!
“It’s okay, I’ll carry you. Let’s go, please, Yu~~~”
Jingmo batted his big, beautiful eyes and continued to plead.
He obediently crouched by the bed.
Unable to refuse him, Shuang Yu sighed softly, resignedly got up, and threw himself onto his back.
“Off to see the sunset!”
Jingmo happily hoisted him up and charged outside like a horse.
“Slow down…”
The latter let out a coquettish complaint, subconsciously tightening his arms around him.
Because it was a private island, there was no one else around.
Jingmo walked barefoot along the beach carrying Shuang Yu, their shadows stretching long behind them. The fiery sunset painted the entire sea in a warm orange, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene.
He set him down, and they sat on the sand, letting the waves lap at their feet.
“So beautiful…”
Shuang Yu gazed at the ocean and exclaimed.
“Yes, very beautiful…”
Jingmo stared at him, entranced, and murmured in agreement.
“What are you looking at me for…”
Shuang Yu turned to look at his infatuated smile and said speechlessly.
“To me, the most beautiful moment in the world is Yu!”
Jingmo chuckled softly, cupping his face and confessing gently.
“Your face… Do you not regret it?”
Even though a long time had passed, Shuang Yu still couldn’t get used to the glaring brand on his face.
The brand Gu Qiyan had seared into him had completely disfigured the left side of his face, leaving it covered in scars and raised tissue. His handsome face was gone.
Jingmo shook his head, raising his hand to gently caress the scar over his eye.
“To me, this isn’t a scar; it’s proof of my love for you. Would Yu stop loving me just because I’m disfigured?”
The original host’s marks can’t be erased, so I’ll use mine to completely cover yours!
“Little lunatic…”
Shuang Yu gave a helpless, soft laugh and cursed fondly.
“Yu, I love you…”
Jingmo’s voice was filled with restraint as he lifted his face and confessed softly.
Their faces drew closer and closer, about to meet.
Whir, whir, whir, whir—
The sound of helicopter rotors filled the air.
Suddenly sensing something ominous, Jingmo looked up at the fiery red horizon.
Before long, a helicopter hovered in the sky not far from them.
The cabin door opened, and a huge banner dropped down.
[A loving family, no one gets left behind!]
Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck!
Jingmo’s face changed drastically as he glared, his expression darkening.
“Hello, hello~~ Yandere Little Biscuit, aren’t you surprised, aren’t you shocked~~~”
A smug Cheng Meng, wearing swim trunks and a loud floral shirt, held a megaphone and waved triumphantly at them.
“Brother Yu, we’re here!”
The others also poked their heads out, all waving at the two below.
A smile bloomed on Shuang Yu’s face.
Jingmo stood up without a word and quickly walked back.
“Where are you going?”
Shuang Yu asked, turning his head in confusion.
“To get the rocket launcher and blow these bastards to smithereens!”
Jingmo yelled without turning back.
Completely unaware of his intentions, the group jumped into the sea and excitedly swam in their direction.
Meanwhile, the main culprit, Yin Ge, piloted the helicopter and fled at high speed. She was afraid that if she delayed any longer, that Yandere Little Biscuit would blow her to bits!
Looks like… there’s going to be a lot of chaos in the future…
Shuang Yu looked up at the fiery red sky in the distance, a very faint smile playing on his lips.
