Chapter Index

Without a second thought, Yan Qianqian instinctively walked toward the source of the sound.

The greenhouse lights were off, and the only illumination came from the moonlight filtering through the transparent roof, making the interior rather dim.

Still, she could make out the naked female attendant lying on the ground.

    What’s going on?!

Where is that idiot Bai Shuangyu!

Yan Qianqian’s eyes filled with astonishment. Before she could react, a sharp pain struck the back of her neck. Her vision went black, and her body instantly went limp.

Bai Shuangyu had no intention of catching her. He simply let her curvaceous body fall heavily to the ground with a dull thud.

“I wonder if they got flattened? How much do breast implants cost, anyway…”

He tilted his head slightly, looking down at the unconscious woman and musing aloud.

His words also reached Feng Yan’s ears, who almost broke character and laughed out loud.

This little nouveau riche was getting more and more interesting. He looked forward to seeing what he would do next.

Like a butcher, Shuang Yu grabbed Yan Qianqian’s slender, fair ankle and dragged her further inside. He then quickly stripped off her clothes, pulled her up, and placed her on top of the female attendant before starting to arrange them in a pose.

It seemed… something was still missing.

    Marks!

Feng Yan’s thin lips parted, silently mouthing the two words.

    “Ah… marks!”

Shuang Yu also realized his mistake. He really didn’t want to touch these two slabs of pork, but there was no one else here to help him.

Reluctantly, he crouched down, elegantly rolled up his sleeves, and began to twist the flesh.

“I feel like a medieval torturer… No, a low-budget version. At least they had proper instruments. I don’t even have a handy tool…”

He began muttering to himself again, pinching hard with both hands, his brow furrowed in complaint.

The bodies of the two unconscious women were covered in red, swollen marks. With each pinch, they twitched, like live shrimp dropped into boiling water in their death throes.

Once he was finally done, Shuang Yu picked up the phone to take pictures, only to discover another problem.

The lighting was insufficient, and the photos were too blurry.

“If only I had a fill light…” he murmured.

The words had barely left his lips when the warm yellow lights in the greenhouse suddenly flickered on.

Shuang Yu was startled and looked up at the ceiling.

“Are these voice-activated smart lights? How advanced…”

Not at all like the Underworld, which still used kerosene lamps. A definite one-star review!

Feng Yan, who was manually operating the remote, smirked and continued to watch the show.

Shuang Yu snapped a series of photos and then began to review them.

Perfect, absolutely perfect. He never knew he had a talent for photography.

He raised his wrist to check the solid gold Rolex; nearly half an hour had passed.

Before the main event began, he needed to take care of his own physiological problem.

    He was about to burst…

Shuang Yu stood up shakily. As he walked out of the greenhouse, he didn’t forget to say, “Xiao Ai, turn off the lights.”

[Lord Ghost Messenger, did you call me?]

In his mind, the dormant Xiao Ai responded.

“I wasn’t calling the system Xiao Ai, I was calling the smart Xiao Ai.”

Shuang Yu replied calmly. Confirming that the smart lights were off, he finally left the greenhouse.

As soon as he was gone, Feng ‘Smart Xiao Ai’ Yan emerged from the shadows. He glanced at the two bodies on the ground, a curious smile on his lips, and unhurriedly followed him out.

About a hundred meters from the greenhouse stood a detached villa. Unlike the bustling banquet area, this place was dark and deserted. There wasn’t a soul in sight, not even a ghost.

What good luck. A place like this was perfect for solving his problem.

Shuang Yu circled the villa and found an open window on the northwest side. After murmuring a quick “excuse me,” he climbed inside.

Since he was about to do something illicit, he felt it would be inappropriate to turn on the lights. Besides, he was a Ghost Messenger; the darkness didn’t affect him.

But the house seemed determined to work against him. The moment he was inside, all the lights flickered on.

    Shuang Yu was speechless.

Seriously? Was that smart Xiao Ai again?

Lounging lazily under a large tree and staring at the surveillance feed on his phone, Feng Yan’s lips curled upwards. Mission accomplished, reputation intact.

Shuang Yu swaggered up to the second floor.

He wanted to find a bathroom to see if a cold shower could solve his problem.

    He opened one door—a study.

    He opened another—a home theater.

    Another—a gym.

Finally, he found the bedroom on the third floor.

Impressive. It was the only bedroom; there weren’t even any guest rooms.

“The owner must be a recluse with some serious issues.”

Shuang Yu gave his honest assessment and entered the bedroom without any psychological burden.

He didn’t bother snooping through the owner’s private things and headed straight for the bathroom.

The entire villa could only be described as luxurious.

The bathroom was at least a hundred square meters and even had a soaking pool. As if sensing his footsteps, the initially empty pool began to fill with water. In less than ten seconds, a pool of hot water was ready, steam rising from its surface!

“Hmm, a rich recluse with some serious issues.”

Assessment complete, Shuang Yu sighed internally.

He habitually pursed his lips. His originally average features were transformed by his physical state; his eyes were veiled in a layer of moist fog, and the corners of his eyes were tinged red, making him look somewhat bewitching.

Shuang Yu took off his clothes and placed them neatly aside.

    He half-sat in the pool.

His half-closed eyes trembled slightly, and his long, thick eyelashes cast beautiful shadows, making his eyes appear even more alluring and captivating.
