Chapter Index

“Shuang Yu, you’re not stuttering anymore!”

Shi Heng suddenly exclaimed with pleasant surprise.

    Shuang Yu was speechless.

Damn it, he’d forgotten to pretend to stutter again. Faking a stutter was so tiring; he might as well take this opportunity to “cure” it.

“Yeah, I didn’t even notice. I guess fainting this time wasn’t all bad…”

He replied with a dry laugh.

Seeing through it but not exposing it, Shi Heng nodded with a grin. “Looks like I’m your great benefactor. You’ll have to treat me to a meal next time.”

The original host didn’t know how to cook, and Shuang Yu didn’t have the time for it. The key thing was that he was also very poor, but it felt wrong not to treat him. After a long pause, he finally nodded. “If it’s not too expensive, I can still afford it. If my body’s fine, can I be discharged?”

The medical fees were too expensive; he didn’t want to waste this money.

“I’ll go ask your attending physician.”

Shi Heng nodded with a grin and eagerly got up to help ask.

Soon, he returned with a broad smile, saying that the discharge procedures were complete and they could leave.

“How much was it? I’ll pay you back.”

Shuang Yu didn’t want to owe him a favor and asked proactively.

“It’s fine, it wasn’t much. If you really feel bad about it, then just treat me to two meals.”

Shi Heng waved his hand, indicating that he didn’t care about such a small amount of money.

“You really don’t hold back with me, do you? Fine, big brother will treat you to a feast.”

Shuang Yu laughed heartily and slung an arm over his shoulder, looking like a pair of good buddies.

Given Shi Heng’s noble status and childhood experiences, no one had ever dared to be so close and familiar with him. He found this kind of interaction very novel and hoped they could always get along like this.

A precious friend? Approaching him with this identity seems pretty good too.

“So, my friend, have you decided what you’re going to treat me to?”

As they were opening the door to the dormitory, Shi Heng asked with a grin.

“There’s a pretty good hot pot place near where I work…”

Although it was a bit far from the school, the important thing was that it was good value for the money. In his current situation, Shuang Yu couldn’t afford to take him to some Michelin-star restaurant. He made up his mind that as soon as he earned his first pot of gold, he would take Shi Heng out to celebrate and fulfill his promise.

“Hot pot is great. I love hot pot.”

The two of them walked in, chatting and laughing, just in time to run into a frazzled Wei Yichen who was about to head out. Shuang Yu ignored him, treating him as if he were thin air. Wei Yichen didn’t want to bother with them either, but Shi Heng’s status was there, and he couldn’t be disrespectful.

“Shi Heng, I have some personal matters these next few days, so I won’t be able to be at school all the time…”

“It’s fine, you go ahead and take care of your business. Yu and I will take good care of Her Excellency Shi Shu.”

Shi Heng said with a faint smile.

He keenly noticed that his form of address for Ji Shuangyu had changed. In just half a day, they had become so familiar. Had Ji Shuangyu already learned of the Crown Prince’s identity? He had to admit, his methods were impressive. Knowing he had no chance here, he had immediately shifted his target!

Feeling a bit sour inside, Wei Yichen glared at Shuang Yu and left.

    “Idiot.”

Shuang Yu snorted coldly, and a wisp of magical power seeped from his palm, floating into the back of Wei Yichen’s head. Everyone should pay the price for their actions. He deserved to live this life in pain and regret; only then could he atone for the sins he had committed!

“We’re covered in the smell of disinfectant. Let’s take a shower before we go out.”

Neither of them paid any mind to the departing Wei Yichen. Shi Heng enthusiastically suggested to Shuang Yu.

“Okay, see you in the living room in a bit.”

Shuang Yu nodded in agreement and went back to his room.

Behind him, a look of regret flashed in Shi Heng’s eyes. If he had known he would agree to treat him to dinner so quickly, he wouldn’t have sent the message so early…

After returning to his room, Shuang Yu went to the bathroom for a quick shower. When he came out, he walked to the bedside to get his phone. He had intended to check on Zuo Fei’s condition with the caregiver, but when he opened his phone, he found that the damn pervert had sent him a message.

[Be at the room where we had sex at 6 PM tonight. Be on time, if you don’t want your explicit photos and videos to be spread everywhere.]

Fuck! Shuang Yu’s face instantly darkened, and he couldn’t help but curse under his breath.

“What the hell does he want!”

[Perhaps, he’s just craving your body?]

Xiao Ai’s familiar answer came once again.

    Shuang Yu was speechless.

Did a Hellhound take a dump on my doorstep?! Why do I always run into these top-tier lunatics?

Wait, this wasn’t the time to complain. He quickly glanced at his phone. If he didn’t leave now, he would definitely be late. He didn’t dare to mess with a lunatic, so he hurriedly changed his clothes and went out.

    “Let’s go.”

Shi Heng, who was waiting for him in the living room, stood up with anticipation when he saw him.

“Sorry, I have a last-minute engagement I can’t get out of. We’ll have to have dinner next time.”

    Shuang Yu said apologetically.

A look of deep regret flashed in the latter’s eyes, but he still nodded understandingly. “It’s okay, go take care of your business. We can eat next time.”

“Thanks, I promise I won’t bail on you at the last minute next time. I have to go.”

Shuang Yu walked up and gave him a loving hug, then left quickly with guilt.

Behind him, Shi Heng licked his lips. He didn’t get to eat with him this time, but that was fine, he could eat him instead.

Next time, eat first, then eat him. Perfect.

Shedding his docile appearance, he raised the corner of his mouth into a wicked smile and also left to keep his appointment.

Without a car of his own and no ride-hailing services in this world, Shuang Yu ended up being late. He arrived, panting, at the door of the presidential suite of the five-star hotel where he had been forced into heat and had his encounter with the other party. He glanced at the time; it was almost six-thirty. The psycho wouldn’t post his photos online just because he was late, would he?

Shuang Yu was about to knock anxiously. But the other party, as if lying in wait, opened the door the moment he raised his hand and quickly pulled him inside.

Long, hot fingers covered his eyes. The next second, Shuang Yu was pinned against the wall. A cold wall was in front of him, and the other person’s warm body was behind him. He was sandwiched between the two, trapped in an agonizing position.

    “You’re late.”

A cold, husky male voice sounded in his ear. The other person nibbled on his earlobe, as if whispering sweet nothings, but the added force felt more like a form of punishment. The entire room was filled with the scent of blood-red pheromones, a smell that was both terrifying and nauseating. But because Shuang Yu had been marked by him, such strong pheromones only made his body uncontrollably crave it.

Damn pheromones, damn ABO! Shuang Yu was helpless against his body’s uncontrollable reaction, yet he was furious. He hadn’t intended to submit to the other party, but because of this damn setting, he couldn’t help but want to rely on him.

All the battle plans he had come up with before he arrived had turned into a mush in his brain because of this damn pheromone reaction. He even began to faintly look forward to the man ‘punishing’ him for his tardiness! That kind of punishment that was both painful and pleasurable! He was going crazy…
